About the Position

We are currently seeking a Packing Operative to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent role upon completion.

This position plays a key role in preparing finished goods for warehouse storage and dispatch, ensuring all packaging and labelling processes are completed accurately and efficiently to the highest standard.

Responsibilities

Examine and inspect completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
Print all required labels, ensuring documentation is completed accurately and appropriately stored and logged.
Assemble, label, and package the organisation’s products.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with Health & Safety legislation and company SOPs and work instructions, in accordance with the QMS.
Suggest and implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to existing team members.
Perform related duties as required by operational needs.
Report any problems or issues promptly to a Manufacturing Supervisor.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
The ability to work effectively under pressure
Good organisational and time management skills
The ability to plan, schedule, and complete tasks to meet deadlines
A proactive approach, with confidence to work independently and take initiative
