Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Plant Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various welding and fabrication tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques and the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal.

Duties

Perform MIG and Stick welding on a variety of materials, ensuring strong and precise welds.
Carry out maintenance & repair on plant & Agri equipment
Fabricate components using hand tools and power tools, following technical drawings and specifications.
Assemble parts and structures, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the process.
Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and resolve any issues that arise during the fabrication process.

Skills

Proficient in MIG welding, Stick welding, and general welding techniques.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
Experience with fabrication processes, including working with sheet metal.
Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to projects.
