Location: UK Wide – ideally Midlands based. Regular travel throughout the UK required.

With offices in Kent, Chesterfield and Newcastle, we are looking for someone based centrally who can effectively support customers nationwide.

We work with some of the UK's largest highways, construction, infrastructure, rail, utilities and local authority organisations, delivering technology and safety solutions that improve safety, efficiency and sustainability.

Through SG, P&D Specialist Services and MVIS, we provide solutions spanning site safety, access control, highway technology, CCTV, ANPR, intelligent transport systems, telematics, EV charging, electrical infrastructure and specialist engineering services.

This is an exciting time to join the business as we continue to expand our product portfolio, geographic reach and market presence.

The Opportunity

This role is not for someone who wants to sit behind a desk waiting for enquiries.

We are looking for a highly motivated, commercially driven individual who enjoys finding opportunities, building relationships and winning work.

This is a highly technical sales role. The successful candidate must be capable of understanding customer challenges, assessing site requirements and advising on suitable solutions from across the Group portfolio.

Success in this role will come from your ability to open doors, identify customer challenges, develop technically robust solutions and convert opportunities into profitable business.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute a proactive new business strategy.

· Generate and convert opportunities across highways, construction, infrastructure, utilities and local authority sectors.

· Build relationships with contractors, consultants, local authorities, utilities, developers and infrastructure operators.

· Promote the products, services and capabilities of SG, P&D Specialist Services and MVIS.

· Attend customer meetings and site visits to understand operational and technical requirements.

· Develop technically robust solutions and prepare quotations, proposals and technical submissions.

· Interpret specifications, drawings and scopes of work.

· Work closely with engineering, operational and project delivery teams.

· Maintain an accurate pipeline and sales forecast.

· Represent the business at exhibitions, industry events and networking opportunities.

· Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the Group's products, services and capabilities.

· Remain up to date with relevant legislation, standards and industry developments.

You must be able to communicate confidently with project managers, engineers, operational teams and senior decision-makers alike.

Essential Requirements

· Proven success in a business development or technical sales role.

· Strong understanding of highways, infrastructure or construction environments.

· Experience selling technical products, services or engineered solutions.

· Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.

· Excellent relationship-building skills.

· Commercially astute and target driven.

· Full UK driving licence.

· Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK.
