Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer on a CIS basis to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and masonry, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish. Your expertise will contribute to the overall quality of our construction projects.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, smoothing, and applying bonding agents as necessary.
Mix plaster according to specifications and apply it to walls and ceilings using hand tools and power tools.
Ensure that plaster is applied evenly and achieves the desired finish, including decorative elements as required.
Repair damaged plasterwork, including patching holes and cracks to restore surfaces to their original condition.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and bricklayers, to ensure seamless integration of work on construction sites.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in the course of your duties.(must have own hand / 110v power tools)

Requirements

Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to plastering.
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
A valid driver’s licence is preferred for travel between job sites.
