Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Travelling Site Manager specialising in Joinery and Fire Door Installation. This role involves overseeing multiple sites across various locations, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing on-site teams, coordinating installation activities, and maintaining excellent client relationships. A strong background in management, supervising teams, this will be essential to excel in this position. Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of joinery and fire door installation projects across multiple sites.
- Manage on-site teams, providing supervision, guidance, and support to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication and project progression.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all sites, conducting regular site inspections.
- Monitor project costs and resources, optimising utilisation while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Conduct regular site meetings to review progress, address issues, and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on project status for senior management.
- Lead by example in promoting a safety-first culture across all sites.
Skills
- Proven management experience within construction or installation sectors specialising in joinery or fire doors.
- Supervising experience with a track record of leading diverse teams effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, team members, and external partners.
- Ability to adapt to different environments whilst maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- A proactive approach with problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
Desirable Qualifications
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
- FIRAS, BM TRADA or fire door installation experience (advantageous)
- Asbestos Awareness
- PASMA and/or IPAF (desirable)
