Installation Technician
About the Role
As an Installation Technician, you will be responsible for delivering, installing, configuring and commissioning multifunctional photocopiers (MFDs) and print devices at customer sites across the UK. You'll ensure every installation is completed professionally, from setting up basic network connectivity and print/scan functionality through to customer training and final handover.

You'll work with a variety of technologies, customers and colleagues, gaining experience across installation, workshop preparation and customer support.
What You'll Do
- Deliver multifunctional photocopiers and print equipment safely, professionally and on time to customer sites.
- Collect, relocate and resite multifunctional photocopiers and print equipment as required.
- Install, configure and commission devices, including basic network connectivity, print and scan configuration, and system testing.
- Carry out pre-installation inspections to ensure all equipment is fully operational before customer handover.
- Provide customers with clear training on the operation and day-to-day use of their equipment, ensuring they are confident using its key features.
- Complete all installation documentation accurately, ensuring all relevant paperwork is signed and returned promptly.
- Assist within the workshop to prepare, configure, test and stage equipment for upcoming installations as business needs dictate.
- Work closely with Field Service Engineers, Logistics and office-based teams to ensure installations are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, delivering exceptional customer service during every customer interaction.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment in a clean, safe and serviceable condition.
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures, including safe manual handling techniques and safe driving practices.
Requirements
Essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Good IT skills with a basic understanding of networking.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- An awareness of Health & Safety and safe manual handling practices.
Nice to Have (We'll Help You Get There)
- Experience installing photocopiers, MFDs or similar office technology.
- Experience configuring print and scan solutions.
- Previous field-based installation or engineering experience.
