Warehouse & Sales Assistant

Olympic Carpets - West Winch

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and hardworking Warehouse & Sales Assistant to join our busy carpet and flooring business.

This is a varied role that combines warehouse work, showroom sales, and customer service. If you enjoy working as part of a team, have a positive attitude, and don’t mind a physically active job, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Assisting customers in our showroom with flooring enquiries and purchases
Delivering excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
Answering telephone calls and processing customer enquiries.
Measuring and calculating floor plans to determine the correct quantities of carpet and flooring materials.
Preparing quotations and advising customers on suitable flooring options.
Receiving, checking, and organising stock.
Loading and unloading carpets and flooring products (heavy lifting is an essential part of the role).
Preparing customer orders for collection and delivery.
Supporting our fitting teams by preparing materials and assisting with daily operations.
Keeping the warehouse and showroom clean, tidy, and well organised.
Carrying out general warehouse and store duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

Friendly and professional with excellent customer service skills.
Good numeracy skills and confidence calculating floor areas and material requirements (training can be provided).
Good communication and organisational skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.
Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
Previous warehouse, retail, sales, or flooring experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
