Dental Receptionist

Location: Cottingham, Hull
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: From £12.71 per hour (depending on experience)

About Us

We are a friendly, well-established private dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Dental Receptionist to join our team and become the welcoming face of our practice.

The Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding patient experience. You will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of reception while supporting our clinical team with a range of administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities

Greeting patients in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
Managing appointments using the practice management system.
Answering telephone calls and responding to email enquiries.
Registering new patients and maintaining accurate patient records.
Processing payments and explaining treatment fees where appropriate.
Managing recalls and appointment confirmations.
Liaising with dentists, hygienists, and the wider team to ensure efficient patient flow.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with GDPR requirements.
Carrying out general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
Is organised, reliable, and able to multitask in a busy environment.
Has a professional, caring, and positive attitude.
Is confident using computers and office software.
Works well as part of a team while also being able to use their own initiative.

Previous dental reception experience is desirable.
