We're looking for a passionate and creative Junior Graphic Designer to join our marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career in design within a fast-paced, creative environment where no two days are the same.
Working alongside our Marketing Manager and Lead Graphic Designer, you'll help bring creative ideas to life across both the Sticky Baits and Thinking Anglers brands. You'll gain hands-on experience working on a wide variety of projects including digital marketing, social media, packaging, print, website graphics and film assets, while developing your skills within one of the most respected companies in the angling industry.
What You'll Be Doing
Creating Great Design
- Produce engaging, high-quality graphics for marketing campaigns, social media, websites, email campaigns, printed materials and promotional activities.
- Create graphics and visual assets to support our video and film content.
- Design artwork that captures the premium quality and personality of both the Sticky Baits and Thinking Anglers brands.
Packaging & Product Design
- Assist with the design and development of packaging, labels and product artwork across both brands.
- Update existing packaging as products evolve or regulations change.
- Ensure all artwork is accurate, production-ready and meets print specifications.
Website & Digital Content
- Design banners, graphics and promotional assets for the Sticky Baits and Thinking Anglers websites.
- Work alongside our external web development partners to help implement design improvements and maintain a consistent online experience.
Social Media & Marketing
- Create eye-catching content for our social media channels across both brands.
- Support marketing campaigns with creative assets across multiple platforms.
- Understand how design works differently across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other digital channels.
Brand Consistency
- Help maintain and strengthen the visual identity of both Sticky Baits and Thinking Anglers.
- Ensure all creative work follows brand guidelines whilst continuing to evolve both brands in fresh and exciting ways.
Working as Part of the Team
- Work closely with our Marketing Manager, Lead Graphic Designer and wider media and marketing team to develop and deliver creative campaigns, product launches and brand projects.
- Contribute ideas during creative planning sessions and be willing to think outside the box.
- Be open to feedback and continually develop your skills through collaboration and mentoring from our experienced design team.
Managing Projects
- Work on multiple creative projects simultaneously whilst managing deadlines effectively.
- Keep digital files organised and maintain our library of artwork, photography and design assets.
Staying Curious
- Keep up to date with design trends, new software, social media developments and creative inspiration.
- Research competitors and look beyond the fishing industry for fresh creative ideas.
What We're Looking For
We're less interested in how many years you've worked and more interested in your creativity, attitude and willingness to learn.
Ideally you'll have:
- A qualification in Graphic Design or a related creative subject.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and good design fundamentals.
- Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- An eye for detail and excellent layout, typography and colour skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise your workload.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively.
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- An interest in photography, videography or motion graphics would be an advantage.
- An interest in carp fishing or the angling industry would be beneficial, but isn't essential.
