We are looking for a General Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated and hardworking team at Musgrove Park Hospital.
This role offers a Recruitment and Retentions Payment of £2000 per year.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
The role will involve undertaking unsupervised (once trained), planned preventative maintenance routines and reactive maintenance work.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for maintenance, a committed team player who can provide a high quality and dedicated service, improving the delivery of maintenance at the Hospital.

Job description
To perform routine planned preventative maintenance work requiring basic skills (including labouring) as needed. This will include co-operating and assist with multi-skilled maintenance staff to complete tasks safely and in a timely manner.
To understand and adhere to the Trust Health and Safety Policies e.g., Fire Safety Policy and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
To undertake any training required to undertake planned preventative maintenance programmes (PPM) this may include: Emergency light testing, Water safety/mechanical tasks, Minor door repairs/replacements such as handles, locks, signs etc
