Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler to join a team in Yeovil. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers to move, lift, and stack materials on construction sites or warehouses. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Operate telehandlers to transport materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
Load and unload materials from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Maintain accurate records of materials moved and report any discrepancies.
Conduct regular inspections of the telehandler to ensure it is in safe working condition.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations on site.
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating machinery.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid driving licence for heavy machinery.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
Familiarity with excavators is advantageous, enhancing versatility on site.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to advance their career in the construction industry while contributing to impactful projects.

Requirements

In-date and physical CPCS or NPORS ticket.
3-point PPE.
Vast experience operating Telescopic Handlers.
