Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Mazak CNC machines to produce high-quality components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in precision machining, aiming to contribute to our production efficiency and product excellence.

Duties

Develop and modify CNC programmes, with a focus on Mazak machines.
Set up CNC machines, including installing tooling and fixtures, ensuring precise alignment and calibration.
Operate Mazak CNC Machining Centres (3,4&5 axis) to produce components according to technical drawings and specifications.
Conduct routine inspections of machined parts for quality assurance, utilising basic maths for measurements.
Maintain accurate documentation of programmes, setups, and production runs.
Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimise downtime and optimise productivity.
Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment safely and effectively during setup and maintenance procedures.
Collaborate with design teams using SolidWorks software to interpret technical drawings.

Skills

Proven experience in CNC programming and operation.
Strong knowledge of machining processes.
Proficiency in reading 3D drawing in SolidEdge; advantageous.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment for machine setup and maintenance.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and tolerances verification.
