heliguy™ is looking for a motivated and professional Training Instructor to join our industry-leading drone training team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher, trainer, coach, mentor, or instructor who enjoys helping others learn and develop.
Previous drone qualifications or operational experience are advantageous but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
Working alongside experienced instructors, you will help deliver classroom-based and practical drone training to clients across a range of industries while developing your own expertise in UAS operations, regulations, and emerging technologies.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the delivery of theoretical and practical drone training courses, including A2 CofC, GVC, RPC-L1 and bespoke programmes.
- Deliver engaging classroom-based learning sessions.
- Assist with practical flight training and candidate assessments.
- Provide learner support both in person and through our Learning Management System.
- Support examination invigilation and certification processes.
- Maintain accurate training records and course documentation.
- Ensure training activities comply with CAA regulations and company procedures.
- Work closely with senior instructors and the Head of Training to support course planning and delivery.
What We're Looking For Essential
- Previous teaching, training, coaching, mentoring, or instructional experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly and confidently.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Professional, learner-focused approach.
- Willingness to learn and develop within the drone industry.
- Ability to travel occasionally throughout the UK.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
Desirable
- A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) and/or General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC).
- Experience operating drones recreationally or commercially.
- Knowledge of UK drone regulations.
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent.
- Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (UPPA).
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience within aviation, engineering, emergency services, utilities, infrastructure, or other technical sectors.
