Job Description
As a Driver/Installer, you will be a key member of our logistics team, ensuring efficient and timely furniture collections and deliveries while providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve driving, delivering loading/unloading, installing furniture, all while upholding safety standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving & Deliveries – Drive company vehicles safely and professionally, adhering to Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Loading & Installation – Load, unload, assemble and fit furniture
- Compliance & Safety – Conduct daily vehicle checks, ensure proper documentation, and maintain vehicle security.
- Customer Service – Communicate with customers about delivery times and ensure a positive experience.
- Mentoring & Support – Guide and support trainees, apprentices, and agency staff to develop their skills.
- Equipment & Tools – Maintain company-issued tools and report any defects or missing items.
- Team Collaboration – Work closely with warehouse teams, customer service staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
Skills and Experience:
- A full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years)
- Confidence with heavy lifting and using hand tools
- Basic DIY skills and a good grasp of Health & Safety
- Friendly, professional manner and excellent communication skills
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Passionate about making a real difference in people's lives
