POSITION: SCM Controller
LOCATION: Role based in Washington
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
REPORTING TO: SCM Senior Controller
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
· You will join a team responsible for a range of duties including liaison with customer, supplier scheduling, supplier Management, Design Change Control, inventory management & analysis, Service Parts Management, Warehouse Coordination, Project Management and delivery performance for the site.
· The person recruited for this role will therefore need to be a proactive thinker and possess excellent communication and organisational skills to make an important contribution towards the SCM activities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Supplier delivery concerns for production & service parts
- Effectively maintain and use MRPll / ERP/material ordering system
- Manage & maintain Business System set up for all BOP from Trial to SOP
- Exception Management & Control
- Maintain Business System accuracy for demand
- Receive and process service customer order requirements
- Support & manage the Service Lead Op/Technicians to ensure no risks to customer
- Provide forecasts to suppliers for trial parts & ensure trial parts are delivered on time
- Provide accurate service customer planning volumes
- Effectively manage the closure of service customer concerns
- Manage service customer delivery performance
- Effectively liaise with suppliers and customers
- Liaise with all functions to make ensure customer needs are a priority
- Provide relevant information to all functions to close out service arrears when required
- Complete stock loss investigations with 3C reporting
- Effectively Manage & cut off impact to production
- Review and approve supplier capacity plans
- Provide a weekly summary report to Senior Controller detailing arrears and actions required for service Management
- Support weekly / monthly service meetings with customers
- Ensure all transactions are completed for Month end reporting
- Manage inventory & support on-going reduction & improvement activities
- Manage Non nettable & negative locations with monthly reporting on status & C/M plans
- Export management
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience within a similar role within the automotive industry or high volume manufacturing industry
- Working knowledge or project planning systems (CIPPS / ANPQP) and MRPII / ERP) systems
- SAP knowledge would be an advantage
- Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills to meet customer and business needs
- Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office
- Degree or equivalent – would be an advantage but not essential
