Job Overview
We're looking for a skilled Safety Flooring and Wetroom Cap & Cove Vinyl Fitter to join our team on a busy commercial contract. The role involves completing two kitchens per day across the North East. Also occasionally involving the highest of standard LVT work across multiple domestic jobs in the north east. All extra square meterage or overtime worked will be paid accordingly. Efficiency, reliability, and pride in your work are essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and repairing surfaces to ensure proper installation.
- Measure and cut flooring materials accurately using hand tools and power tools.
- Install various flooring types including safety flooring, vinyl, carpet and luxury vinyl tiles according to specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to execute precise installations.
- main project for two flat lay kitchens per day around 16m2 most have already been ply lined. Any extra screed or extra meterage will be paid on top of flat rate (between £800.00 to £1,500.00)
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and secure flooring materials.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and painters to complete projects on time.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues during installation or repair processes to ensure optimal results.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or commercial flooring installation is essential.
- must hold CSCS card
- Must have full uk driving licence
- Flooring NVQ preferred
- Practical knowledge of techniques related to flooring work.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with construction painting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Competence in operating power tools safely is required.
- Previous experience working on both residential and commercial projects is preferred but not essential.
