Full job description

We are a small residential care home supporting people with a learning disability/autism in their own home and in the community to live well, feel safe and be as independent as possible through individualised care and support.

We are seeking support workers who have the following attributes to join our friendly team:

Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the people we support and the service, including day hours, some evening hours and alternate weekends.
Ability to follow care/support plans and provide a consistent approach.
Able to lone work and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Able to show compassion, patience and respect.
Act with integrity and be responsible.

Responsibilities Include:

Assisting with any personal care needs.
Assisting with medication administration where needed.
Raising any concerns and advocating for the people we support
Supporting people to access the community
Supporting people with their work/activity plans.
Assisting to maintain their home environment.
Assisting with domestic duties.
Contributing to care/support plans .
Continually looking to make improvements to improve the quality of support we provide.

Full training is provided which includes completion of the care certificate and opportunities to complete heath and social care level awards.

This role requires eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory employment references, and an Enhanced DBS check.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you could make a real difference to the lives of the people we support.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.40 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
