Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional kitchen environment. The Chef de Partie will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauces, ensuring consistency and quality
Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your designated section in compliance with food safety regulations
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with hygiene standards and safety procedures
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Train junior staff members and provide guidance on food preparation techniques
Assist in maintaining a positive and professional work environment

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are preferred but not essential if accompanied by substantial experience in similar roles
