Assembly Operator
Purpose of the Job
Raytec are looking for a skilled Assembly Operator to work on a production line building electronic lighting assemblies to a high quality at an appropriate production rate.
Location
The role of Assembly Operative requires working from our office in Ashington Mon – Fri and reports to the Production Manager
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Product build, testing and packing to agreed quality standards at an appropriate rate of production.
- Complete paperwork as required.
- Support with regular cycle counts and stock checks.
- To maintain required housekeeping standards.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activity.
- Other production related activity as requested.

Personal Specification
Essential
- Relevant production experience, particularly in hand assembly of electromechanical products.
- Knowledge of health & safety principles and practice.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Be receptive to training and change.
Desirable
- Awareness of LEAN manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
