We are looking for an experienced and qualified Mechanic to help maintain our modern fleet of coaches to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and presentation. Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of Buses and Coaches, along with our growing portfolio of external customers too. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. The Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring that all equipment operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations.

Duties

Conduct Inspections, and assist with Roller Brake tasting at regular intervals.
Carry out Running Repairs following Driver Defect Reports
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Maintain a Roadworthy, and Compliant Fleet in line with DVSA Standards.
You are required to be "On-Call" at least one weekend Per month.
Irtec Qualification a benefit, but not essential. We can provide training for this.
Holding a PSV Licence would be preferable, but not essential.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Capability for heavy lifting as part of the repair process.
Experience in fabricating parts is advantageous but not essential.
