Full job description

We are looking for a reliable, physically fit, and proactive individual to join our night operations team. This is a dual-purpose role that bridges the gap between our night-time logistics and morning deliveries. You will spend the first half of your shift collecting from London market and the second half ensuring our delivery fleet is organized and ready to hit the road. A valid forklift certification is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities

London Market Collection: Operating a company van to perform nightly collections from London market.
Goods Preparation: Sorting and palletizing incoming goods with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Forklift Operations: Safely operating a forklift to unload market collections, move heavy pallets, and organize the warehouse floor.
Pre-loading: Organising the warehouse floor and pre-loading vehicles according to specific delivery routes.
Morning Dispatch: Assisting morning drivers with final loading to ensure a prompt and efficient departure.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting basic safety checks on the van at the start and end of every shift.

Requirements

Valid Forklift License (Counterbalance) is essential for this role not in house training .
Experience: Previous experience in multi-drop driving or night-shift warehouse work.
Physical Fitness: This is a demanding role involving heavy lifting, loading/unloading, and operating machinery.
Reliability: Punctuality is critical to ensure our delivery drivers can leave on schedule.
Flexibility: A "can-do" attitude toward overtime during peak seasons or busy trading days.
