Summary
Greens Norton & Weedon Medical Practice (GNWMP) is looking to recruit a Salaried GP to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a view to a permanent position.
We are seeking either:
- A 6-session GP working Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Due to service requirements, the successful candidate will be expected to provide Enhanced Access cover until 8:00pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, or
- An 8-session GP, working Monday, Tuesday, Friday and one additional day to be agreed. GPEA cover as above.
The role will involve working across both our Greens Norton and Weedon sites.
Based in rural South Northamptonshire, we are a training and dispensing practice caring for over 14,800 patients. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, supportive and well-established multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
We pride ourselves on combining the valued elements of a traditional family practice with a progressive approach to primary care and are looking for an individual who shares this ethos.
Main Duties
Working as an autonomous practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical services to our practice population whilst complying with the GMS contract and ICB requirements.
The post-holder will manage a varied caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs within a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered patients.
You will hold a patient list, support continuity of care and take a share in the duty doctor rota for urgent clinical issues.
The role will include a mix of routine and urgent care appointments, together with participation in our GP Enhanced Access service and cross-site working.
In general, the post-holder will undertake all normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
