Location: This role is based in The Quadrant Milton Keynes. This role is a full-time opportunity, flexible working patterns will be considered. For Quadrant:MK, you must live within 90 minutes.
Band & Salary: Band 3A £42,254 - £51,539
What does the average day look like?
On a typical day, you'll shape and improve the processes and systems used to measure and enhance supplier performance, working closely with subject matter experts across Network Rail to ensure consistent, high-quality reporting across the SRM programme. You'll provide expert insight on data and reporting tools, identifying opportunities to improve how information is connected and used to support decision-making. Alongside monitoring investment and commercial initiatives to drive continuous improvement, you'll analyse performance trends, ensure submissions are robust, and accurate and build strong cross-functional relationships. You'll contribute to the development of strategy, using research and analysis to recommend improvements and highlight future opportunities.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a commercially astute and highly analytical professional who can interpret complex financial and non-financial data and translate it into clear, actionable insight. You'll be confident engaging with senior stakeholders, able to challenge constructively and influence decision-making. You will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced infrastructure environment.
Essential Criteria
- Student/part membership (or equivalent) of the relevant professional body having progressed to at least the final stage of qualification, or possession of sufficient experience to fulfil the requirements of the role without membership of the relevant professional body
- Proven analytical skills and knowledge of investment appraisal techniques, commercial performance systems & KPIs
- Excellent commercial awareness

Desirable Criteria
- Full membership of relevant professional body with post qualification experience
- Demonstrable experience within finance or commercial functions of NR and/or external organisations
- Knowledge of regulated markets
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Advanced practitioner-level capability in Microsoft 365 Apps, including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint and Excel, with experience of developing data-driven solutions and automated reporting
Experience using market analysis tools and external data sources to support commercial insight and supplier performance evaluation
