At Children & Adolescents Placement Provisions, we are looking for two dedicated Bank Residential Support Workers to join our team, supporting our two Children's Homes in Northampton on a flexible, as-needed basis.
We would love to hear from you if you have current or previous experience working within a Children's Home environment and are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people. As a Bank Residential Support Worker, you will play an important role in supporting our established teams, providing high-quality care and contributing to the smooth running of our homes during periods of staff absence, increased occupancy, annual leave, or additional service needs.
You will be a valued member of our wider care team, working alongside our Registered Manager, Head of Care, Senior Residential Support Workers, and Residential Support Workers to provide consistent, nurturing, and child-centred care.
About the Role
As a Bank Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in our homes.
- Work flexibly across our services to meet operational needs.
- Support the implementation of care plans and risk assessments.
- Promote positive outcomes and help children achieve their full potential.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the home and contribute to a positive living environment.
- Build positive relationships with children, young people, families, and professionals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
- Complete accurate records, reports, and documentation.
- Take a hands-on approach, working directly with children and young people to meet their individual needs and support their development.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience working within a Children's Home, residential childcare setting, or a similar environment supporting children and young people.
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Children and Young People's Workforce) or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Good knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A caring, resilient, and child-focused approach.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays as required.
