Full job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Community Diabetes Specialist Team, for an enthusiastic, innovative Nurse.

We are a friendly, forward thinking team looking for the right person to complete our team.

To act as a resource and role model in expert practice facilitating and supporting the delivery of direct specialist diabetes patient care for patients and all members of the Primary health care team, nursing and residential homes.

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services to a growing population of around 700,000 people living across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas across two busy hospital sites in Bedford and Luton. Both hospital sites offer key services such as A&E, Obstetrics-led Maternity and Paediatrics. Be the responsible lead in diabetes service development within the locality. To evaluate service delivery, identify areas for improvement and plan future development.

To provide Specialist Diabetes Triage/ Assessment clinics within the community setting
