Job Title: Sales & Yard Assistant
Location: Blisworth, NN7 3DB
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Sales & Yard Assistant. This is a varied role combining sales support, customer service, and hands-on yard duties. You will play a key role in expanding sales to other fencing companies in the local area while also assisting with day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with other fencing companies to help grow product sales within the surrounding area
- Assist customers in the yard, including loading materials safely and efficiently
- Support the delivery process by helping with product drop-offs to customer homes
- Drive a 3.5t van for local deliveries as required
- Provide excellent customer service both in person and during deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Experience driving a 3.5t van
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good level of physical fitness due to manual handling requirements
- Forklift experience preferred but not essential, as training can be provided on site
- Previous experience in sales, construction, fencing, or a similar environment is advantageous but not essential
