Local Walking Tour Guide (H/F) – Belfast

Location: Belfast, Ireland

Contract Type: Freelance / Independent Contractor

Compensation: £160 per day + performance-based bonuses

About the Role

We are currently looking for a local guide based in Belfast to accompany small groups of international visitors during walking tours of the city.

The role involves introducing visitors to Belfast neighborhoods, culture, history, and points of interest while providing a welcoming and professional experience.

We are looking for individuals with strong local knowledge, good communication skills, and an interest in interacting with visitors.

Responsibilities

Lead walking tours in Belfast lasting approximately 3 to 8 hours
Share information about local culture, history, landmarks, and daily life
Adapt each tour according to visitors’ interests and pace
Answer visitor questions and provide general recommendations
Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere throughout the experience

Requirements

Currently based in Belfast
Good knowledge of Belfast and its main areas
Comfortable interacting with international visitors
Fluent in at least one of the following languages:
English, Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, or Chinese
Reliable, professional, and punctual
Comfortable walking for several hours
