Trainee or Experienced

Location: London-based with nationwide travel
(Covering England, Scotland, Wales & Ireland)

Join Surface Doctor – Specialists in Professional Surface Restoration

Surface Doctor is a respected, family-run surface repair and resurfacing company with over 30 years of industry experience. We provide high-quality cosmetic repairs and refinishing services to residential and commercial clients across the UK.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable, hands-on technician to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in spray painting or practical trade work, or for a motivated individual eager to learn a specialist, in-demand skill.

The Role

As a Surface Repair & Resurfacing Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Spray resurfacing baths, shower trays, sinks, and bathroom fixtures using HVLP systems
Refinishing surfaces to a high standard, similar to automotive spray painting
Carrying out cosmetic repairs on materials such as glass, marble, wood, ceramics, UPVC, and stone
Travelling to customer sites across London and major UK cities
Delivering excellent workmanship and outstanding customer service
Representing Surface Doctor professionally at all times

Who We’re Looking For

You may be a great fit if you:

Have experience in spray painting, surface repair, bath resurfacing, or restoration (advantageous but not essential)
Are confident using tools and enjoy practical, hands-on work
Have strong attention to detail and good time management
Are eager to learn and develop specialist trade skills
Hold a valid UK driving licence
Own a reliable vehicle suitable for work
Are flexible and willing to travel

This is a self-employed position.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence

1+ year experience in car spraying
1+ year experience in hard surface repairs

Pay: £56,000.00 per year
