Due to continued growth, we are seeking an organised and proactive Administrative and Planning Assistant to join our team and support day-to-day administration and planning project coordination.
The Role
As an Administrative and Planning Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting senior technicians by ensuring project processes are efficient and well organised. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a collaborative professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation, monitoring, and management of planning applications and processes.
- Liaising with clients, local planning officers, and external consultants.
- Providing general administrative support to the architectural team through all projects.
- Maintaining project files, records, and monitoring systems.
- Managing telephone calls, emails and correspondence from a range of internal and external contacts, ensuring timely and professional communication.
- Scheduling meetings, appointments, and attendance where necessary.
- Supporting project teams with document submissions and tracking deadlines.
- Assisting with fee quotations, invoicing, and other administrative tasks as required.
About You
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities within a busy office environment.
Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role.
- Experience working within an architectural, engineering, construction, or professional services environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Professional and friendly approach to client interactions.
