As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an organised and proactive Shipping Coordinator to join our team. This is a key role within the business, responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination of vehicle movements, deliveries and customer requirements while maintaining the highest levels of service. Working within a close-knit team, you will be the link between customers, drivers, operations and sales, ensuring deliveries are planned efficiently and completed successfully.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and coordinating daily concrete deliveries and vehicle movements.
- Liaising with customers regarding delivery times, site requirements and order updates.
- Managing driver schedules and allocating work efficiently.
- Monitoring delivery progress and responding quickly to operational issues.
- Maintaining accurate transport, delivery and customer records.
- Communicating with production, operations and sales teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensuring compliance with transport, health and safety and company procedures.
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving delivery-related issues professionally.
- Producing operational reports and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assisting with route planning to maximise efficiency and customer service.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a transport, logistics, shipping, planning or coordination role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage changing demands.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience within the construction, concrete, aggregates, logistics or transport sectors

Pay: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
