Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated multi skilled tradesman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood, painting etc. This role requires a good understanding of wood work, and general maintenance knowledge, and the ability to work safely in various environments. The successful applicant will contribute to a range of projects including residential, commercial, and industrial builds, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install timber and other materials according to specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and masonry tools as required
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and components safely and efficiently
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing structures or fixtures
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Assist in roofing tasks when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools.
- Good mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings
- Experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry, or related trades
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials between sites
- Good understanding of health and safety standards within construction environments
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse working conditions
