The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers to build the next generation of architecture on our production site. You will contribute to architecture discussions, technology choices and advocate for best-in-class development practices. You will facilitate collaboration across departments: product, design, engineering and customer success, as well as mentor and supervise engineering team members through your experience. You will be constantly learning and teaching others, and the development culture of the team will be influenced by your voice.
What you’ll be doing as an Engineering Manager at Beamery
Serving as the engineering leader and technical expert for your team
Developing people and teams through coaching, mentoring and management support
Facilitating collaboration between engineers, product owners and designers to solve challenging problems across our platform
Taking part in technology decisions and architecture discussions, advocate for engineering best practices (CI, testing, operational efficiency etc.)
Growing the technical expertise of your team
Answering questions and resolve issues for your team
Creating detailed engineering plans, processes and procedures
Proposing and overseeing budgets and timelines for engineering projects
Conducting tests and QA checks on completed projects
Working with recruiting teams to determine staffing needs, hire and train new team members
Leading research and development initiatives to identify new opportunities
Preparing and delivering engineering presentations, internally and externally
What we’re looking for
An experienced hands on engineer who has transitioned into a leader and mentor role
A broad understanding of the technological landscape, and desire to stay on top of developments and new technology
Experience in an enterprise SaaS or HR/Recruitment environment
Someone excited by the opportunity of supporting junior engineers in their growth
Someone who wants to commit to shaping and growing a team of talented engineers building industry-leading SaaS products
