Full job description

We have a PART TIME vacancy working 3/4 days a week from 9-4 or 9-3.30

OR a FULL TIME position (potential for a combination of 8-3 and 9-4)

Term -time only to start in September

DUTIES INCLUDE:

To assist with the planning of the curriculum.

To help set up the pre-school areas for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end

To act as a Key Person to a group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.

To maintain records on Key children, including making observations and writing reports.

To maintain high levels of safeguarding, health & safety and confidentiality practices

To advise the pre-school Management of any concerns e.g. over children, health & safety

To be aware of any additional needs a child may have and to familiarise oneself with relevant play and learning plans.

To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation.

To attend and participate in staff meetings and attend in-service training courses as required

Requirements

To have a working knowledge & understanding of the EYFS
Previous experience working with children or in childcare settings, including nursery experience or early childhood education qualifications is ESSENTIAL
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
To have a working knowledge & understanding of the EYFS
Genuine interest in working with children and fostering their growth and development
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Organised, patient, compassionate, and attentive to detail

Pay: £13.50 per hour
