About the role
1. During the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will participate in both academic and vocational training resulting in a Level 4 Quality Practitioner qualification that is professionally recognised by the Chartered Quality Institute, NOCN Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations (Engineering Practices) and Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship
2. Shadow key members of the Goods-in, Supplier Quality, Production Quality, Customer Quality and IMS teams.
3. Support the Goods-in function with the inspection and control of incoming supplier parts.
4. Support the Supplier Quality Engineers with supplier audits, ensuring suppliers are using the latest Quality and Problem-Solving tools and techniques to ensure parts are delivered to Draeger are right first time, First Article Inspection (FAI) submissions and review of supplier investigation reports and problem-solving documents.
5. Support the Production Quality Co-ordinators with handling & processing of production quality notifications, investigations into potential product or component defects, process and product audits as well as the analysis of production quality data.
6. Support the Product Quality Engineers with claim handling (Failure on Arrival & Warranty Claims), customer complaint investigations (including the inspection and testing of returned product) and the compiling of Field Failure Rate (FFR) data that will be presented to Global Quality teams.
7. Support the Environmental & IMS Manager with audit planning, supporting the internal and external audit process, reviewing internal procedures and uploading into the Integrated Management System (IMS).
8. Support the Quality department with any New Product Development activities as and when required.

Working within a large team of 27 personnel across different sectors within the quality department (Supplier Quality / Production Quality / Customer Quality / IMS & Environmental)
