What are we looking for?
We are actively seeking an organised, proactive, enthusiastic individual to support the day-to-day management of our recycling operations, working directly with the Operations Director. The successful candidate will coordinate operational activities, supporting customer service delivery, and helping to ensure the smooth running of our recycling processes.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn, with a positive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. They will thrive in a dynamic environment, take pride in delivering high standards of work, and be committed to supporting the company's operational and environmental objectives. Full training will be provided to support the successful candidate in developing their knowledge and understanding of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily recycling operations, collections, and deliveries.
- Plan vehicle and collection activities with the transport team.
- Liaise with customers regarding collection bookings, service updates, and operational queries.
- Maintain accurate records of waste transfers, recycling volumes, and operational activities.
- Prepare and manage environmental compliance documentation, including waste transfer notes and recycling reports.
- Support inventory management of incoming and outgoing IT equipment, batteries, and recyclable materials.
- Coordinate with warehouse and processing teams to ensure efficient material handling and processing.
- Assist with health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Track customer service requests and ensure timely resolution.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience in an operations coordination, logistics, administration, or customer service role.
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Driving license
Desirable
- Experience within recycling, waste management, logistics, transport, environmental services, or IT asset disposition (ITAD).
- Knowledge of waste management regulations and environmental compliance.
- Experience using CRM, ERP, or transport management systems.
- Knowledge of electronic waste handling, particularly batteries.

Working hours: Monday – Friday 9:30am -5:30pm. 35 hours per week.
Holidays: 28 days per annum including bank holidays.
