Are you a specialist in your field? We are looking for skilled people to share specific coachbuilding and body repair skills with apprentices restoring classic, vintage and heritage vehicles, either as a permanent part-time tutor or on an ad-hoc basis, as and when required.
You might be a welder, a panel and fabrication specialist, a fibreglass expert or a glazing hand. Whatever your area, if you have real depth in it, we would like to hear from you.
Areas we are recruiting for include:
- Chassis repair
- Panel work and fabrication
- MIG/MAG welding
- Resistance (spot) welding
- Fibreglass repair
- Plastic welding
- Glazing
You do not need to cover all of these — we are actively looking for individual specialists to lead training in their own discipline. Teaching experience is not required; if you know your craft inside out, we will support you to pass it on.
Heritage Skills Academy delivers hands-on apprenticeships from Brooklands Museum and Bicester Motion. You would work with small groups of apprentices in a well-equipped workshop, on flexible part-time hours that fit around your existing commitments.
