About the Role
We're looking for an analytical and proactive Inventory Controller to join our growing team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring our inventory is managed efficiently, accurately, and strategically to support excellent customer service and business performance.
Working closely with Procurement, Finance, Operations, Customer Success, and suppliers, you'll use data and reporting to optimise stock availability, improve supply chain performance, and support informed business decisions.

Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management & Planning
- Manage inventory levels to ensure optimum product availability while minimising excess stock.
- Create and manage purchase orders and replenishment cycles.
- Monitor stock cover and maintain inventory in line with business forecasts.
- Support forecasting and inventory planning activities to improve stock accuracy and availability.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Maintain accurate inventory master data across business systems.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards covering key inventory metrics, including stock availability, OTIF (On Time In Full), stock cover, and excess inventory.
- Analyse inventory and supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate stock valuation and reporting.
Supplier & Supply Chain Management
- Monitor supplier performance against key KPIs such as OTIF and lead times.
- Build effective relationships with suppliers to support continuity of supply.
- Communicate demand changes and supply requirements proactively.
- Identify potential supply risks and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Drive improvements by identifying and removing manual or inefficient administrative processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Warehouse Operations to manage inbound deliveries and resolve stock-related issues.
- Work alongside Customer Success to minimise customer impact from availability challenges.
- Support Buying and Procurement with inventory insights and category performance analysis.
- Collaborate with Finance to maintain inventory accuracy and support financial reporting.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, reporting, and system utilisation.
- Support initiatives that improve stock efficiency, availability, and overall supply chain performance.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of inventory management best practices.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Previous experience in an Inventory Controller, Inventory Analyst, Supply Chain, Stock Planning, or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
- Good understanding of inventory management and stock control principles.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator who can work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
Desirable
- Experience monitoring supplier performance and KPIs.
- Experience creating dashboards and business reports.
- Knowledge of supply chain planning and forecasting.
