About the Company:

Choo Choos Day Nursery and Preschool is a family run setting in Taunton, that provides exceptional standards of childcare for children aged 3 months to 11 years. Here at Choo Choos we aim to provide an environment that will encourage children to develop into happy, confident, indecent individuals. We foster our child's natural curiosity, sense of awe and wonder, enthusiasm to learn, and encourage the children to explore and investigate a range of resources and materials using all of their senses. We work closely with our sister setting, Chutters Day Nursery, to share good practice and support children's learning and development. We offer an outstanding and nurturing experience in a beautiful, warm and traditional environment. The nursery offers great facilities and promotes outdoor learning.

The role of the Apprentice Nursery Assitant is to ensure all children attending Choo Choos Day Nursery receive high quality care, are kept safe and are provided with planned and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs and support all aspects of the EYFS.

Passionate about supporting the development of children between the ages of 3 months and 8 years?
Experienced with children and have a basic understanding of the EYFS?
Enthusiastic and willing to go above and beyond?
Hardworking and a team player?
Creative and plan original and fun activities for the children?
Able to build a long lasting, trusting relationship with parents, staff and children?
Hoping to progress within the nursery setting?

All staff are offered opportunities for continued professional development. Our employees are the heart of what we do at Choo Choos Day Nursery and all staff are fully supported with training and progression within the setting or beyond.

We are looking for committed, enthusiastic and inspiring individuals with a basic understanding of the EYFS. You must possess excellent planning and communication skills both written and verbal, be self-motivated and flexible and enjoy working as part of a team. A sense of humour is essential.

Opportunities to progress within the company - we offer progression for all staff at Choo Choo's, whether you are an apprentice or Level 3 qualified.
Free Online Training - We offer a free online training portal for all staff to complete mandatory and additional courses. This includes courses such as Safeguarding Children, Child Protection and Online Safety.

All staff will be required to complete an enhanced criminal record disclosure (DBS check) and the result must be received before your initial start date.
