Due to the high demand for our services we have created a vacancy for a dedicated CCTV Drain & Sewer Survey Operative based at our Honiton depot. This is a full time, permanent role carrying out CCTV surveys of drains and sewers to assess the condition of the pipework, plot the locations of faults and draft management reports for the clients using WinCan software. There are usually plenty of opportunities for overtime and you should be prepared to work some night shifts and weekends, for which higher rates of pay apply. As well as operating the remote control CCTV survey unit, you will also be specially trained to work in confined spaces and operate high pressure water jetting equipment to enable you to be a versatile member of the team carrying out other industrial cleaning tasks. As such this is a physical role, involving driving, computer work, manual handling and confined space working.
We are looking for someone who has had experience of CCTV Drain & Sewer survey work. We will assist the successful candidate obtain a formal OS19X (Pipe Sewer Condition Classification) qualification, if he/she does not already have one. To apply for this role you must have a full driving licence valid for the UK and you must be computer literate with the ability to learn new applications and produce coherent reports for the client. Due to the hazards of working in such environments we have a strict safety policy and you must be the sort of person who will contribute to our safety culture. You could be working on the public highway or on customer sites and you need to be a good ambassador for the company ensuring the customer experience is a positive one.
