Location: Norwich, Central | Full-time Permanent
About Us
We are Blakely, a UK-based lifestyle fashion brand founded in Norfolk in 2012.
As part of a new generation of digitally native brands, we create timeless, high-quality clothing designed for everyday wear.
Our mission is simple: to help our community look and feel their best every day through well-crafted, long-lasting products at an accessible price point. We value integrity, progression, and authenticity, and focus on creating versatile pieces that stand the test of time.
The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Ecommerce Assistant to support the day-to-day running and optimisation of our online store. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced ecommerce environment and has a genuine interest in fashion, digital retail and all things Shopify.
You do not need to be a software developer, but you should be confident working inside Shopify and curious about how ecommerce websites are built, structured and optimised. You’ll be comfortable looking at product data, website layouts, customer journeys, apps, automations and conversion performance — and you’ll enjoy finding practical ways to improve how the site works.
We’re looking for someone who can combine commercial judgement with technical problem-solving: someone who can spot friction in a customer journey, understand why a page might not be converting, make sensible Shopify/content changes, and work with developers or technical partners where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Management
- Edit and maintain product listings, collections, and on-site content including user generated imagery
- Ensure all meta product information is accurate and optimised
- SEO & GEO Optimisation
- Support ongoing SEO strategy including keyword implementation and content updates
- Working on loyalty programs, events, POS, international expansion stores
- Assist with geo-targeted content and international site optimisation
- Work closely with ads team to ensure imagery is aligned across all platforms
- Work with marketing and CRM to ensure all landing pages are set up correctly
- Brand Protection
- Monitor and report on counterfeit products, unauthorised sellers, and brand misuse
- Support actions to protect Blakely’s brand integrity across digital channels
- Creative & Content Support
- Basic image editing for ecommerce (cropping, resizing, optimisation)
- Assist with light design tasks such as banners, landing pages, and campaign assets
- Site Performance & Merchandising
- Support product merchandising and on-site optimisation to improve conversion by updating navigation and making data driven suggestions
- Assist with testing and improving user experience across the website
About You
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an ecommerce, website, digital trading or Shopify-focused role
- Confident using Shopify to update products, collections, pages, navigation, content and basic site settings
- Comfortable working with Shopify apps, basic automations, integrations or workflows
- Strong interest in CRO, UX and customer journey optimisation
- Able to use data from Shopify, GA4 or similar tools to make practical site improvement suggestions
- Understanding of SEO basics, including metadata, product content, internal linking and page structure
- Comfortable with basic image editing, resizing, cropping and preparing assets for web
- Some understanding of HTML/CSS, Liquid, JavaScript or web development principles would be beneficial
- Commercially minded, proactive and able to balance detail with pace
- Confident enough to suggest improvements and back your judgement
This is not a pure social media or marketing role.
While you’ll work closely with marketing, the focus is on the ecommerce website: Shopify, product data, collections, landing pages, site performance, customer journey, SEO, CRO and day-to-day website optimisation.
This is also not a pure developer role.
You do not need to be a coder, but you should be comfortable with ecommerce technology and interested in how websites work.
