The Role:
The QA Coordinator is responsible for supporting day-to-day Quality and Food Safety activities on the shop floor, helping ensure production standards are maintained and routine quality controls are completed effectively.
This role works closely with Production and Warehouse teams to support quality compliance, complete routine checks, and assist in maintaining company, customer, and legal standards. The QA Coordinator contributes to promoting a strong food safety culture and supporting a consistent “Right First Time” approach across operations.
This role reports to the QA Technician.
What you will do:
Operational Support:
- Support Production and Warehouse teams with guidance on Quality standards and product specifications.
- Carry out routine Quality Control checks, ensuring CCPs (Critical Control Points) and oPRPs are monitored and records completed accurately.
- Assist with daily QA activities across production areas to ensure required checks are completed.
- Provide support during routine quality and food safety tasks.
- Act as a point of contact for basic operational quality concerns during shift activities.
- Support Production teams with GMP, hygiene, and food safety requirements.
- Escalate significant quality or food safety concerns to the QA Technician or QFSE Manager.
Governance & Audit Support:
- Complete scheduled internal audits including GMP, Hygiene, Glass & Hard Plastic, and Traceability checks.
- Maintain accurate Quality Management System (QMS) documentation to support compliance requirements.
- Support calibration checks and verification activities for monitoring equipment where required.
- Help maintain audit-ready standards across production and warehouse areas.
Incident Support & Problem Solving
- Support investigations into non-conformances, deviations, and internal quality concerns.
- Assist with the Hold & Release process, including physically identifying and segregating non-conforming stock.
- Monitor corrective actions to help ensure issues are resolved appropriately.
- Escalate recurring quality or food safety concerns to the QA Technician or QFSE Manager.
Health & Safety
- Support compliance with UK Health and Safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and COSHH regulations where applicable.
- Report accidents, incidents, and near misses in line with company procedures.
- Follow safe working practices and ensure correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Promote safe behaviours and raise concerns regarding unsafe practices.
What we are looking for:
Experience:
- Previous experience in a QA or manufacturing role within Food Manufacturing or FMCG desirable.
- Experience carrying out quality checks, inspections, or audits preferred.
- Experience supporting investigations into non-conformities or production issues desirable.
Education & Knowledge:
- Food Safety or HACCP qualification desirable.
- Understanding of GMP and food manufacturing standards.
- Basic knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety standards such as BRCGS or FSSC 22000.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing methods and equipment desirable.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office.
- SAP experience advantageous.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
