Full job description

We offer a £2000 welcome payment for qualified and experienced Social Workers and Occupational Therapists (grade J and above) new to Norfolk County Council. Amount to be repaid in full should you leave within two years of employment.

For experienced Social Workers new to Norfolk County Council, we promise to try and match or better your existing salary, providing it's in the spectrum of the grade advertised.

It’s an exciting time to join the Social Care Community Engagement Team (SCCE). We are delivering bold and innovative changes across Norfolk, and we are looking to attract the very best social care professionals to be part of shaping our future.

SCCE is at the forefront of the delivery of Human Learning System Framework and the implementation of the Early Help and Prevention Conversation, embedding a strengths-based approach to social care practice.

We are seeking a registered Social Worker (Social Work England) or Occupational Therapist (HCPC) with a minimum of three years’ post-qualifying experience in a social care or health setting.

The successful candidate will be motivated to work innovatively, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to our wider transformation agenda, particularly in shaping the future of ‘front door’ services.

In this role, you will:

Lead, manage and support a team of case-holding Assistant Practitioners, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers.
Oversee workflow within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Provide high-quality casework consultation and professional guidance to social care professionals. Work collaboratively with PLACE teams and wider partners.

SCCE operates a hybrid model of office and remote working. To build meaningful relationships with the people we support, this role requires regular in-person work in both the office and community.
