Tactile Solutions is an IT solutions and Digital Marketing Company based in Taverham, Norwich. We offer services such as: website design, intranet systems, telephony, mobile applications, graphics, digital signage and business support. The role will include programming, web development and design, server and database maintenance, data and back up, and networking. The apprenticeship will offer all of the below experience and a level 3 qualification. This is a starter role and training will be continuously given throughout, but as you move through this training your main duties will include:
- Writing basic code for discrete software components to agreed standards (for web, mobile or desktop applications).
- Writing and learning web development languages to produce websites in line with designs approved and created by the graphics department.
- Applying secure development principles to specific software components during all stages of development, following internal version control guidelines.
- Backing up data on a regular basis from different servers and managing the data held, taking responsibility for ensuring these are done on time and to schedule as part of a Disaster Recovery plan.
- Interfacing with web servers to update configurations and perform general maintenance.
- Interfacing with our internal network and external networks to update and configure our various networks.
- Testing and evaluating websites and software during development stages, including reporting bugs and errors to the relevant person(s).
- Training on and learning new skills
- General problem-solving in development, seeking assistance where required and learning throughout.
