Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. Responsibilities
- Install new roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems
- Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components efficiently and safely
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation
- Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery with precision
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues or hazards on roofing projects
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards
- Assist in the preparation of surfaces through carpentry, masonry, or plumbing work as needed for roofing projects
- Maintain a clean work environment by organising tools and disposing of waste materials properly
Experience
- Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, or plumbing
- Knowledge of schematics, welding techniques, and fabrication processes is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and specialised roofing equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
- Experience working at heights on ladders or scaffolding is preferred
- Basic understanding of construction principles relevant to roofing systems is desirable

Pay: £120.00-£220.00 per day
