Job Description:

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated AD HOC Catering Assistant to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting food service operations, ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in catering, food delivery, and hospitality environments, contributing to memorable events and daily service. The role is ideal for individuals passionate about food, service, and creating enjoyable experiences for guests.

About the Role-

We require a team member to join our team and cover holiday's, sickness and change over shifts through the week. You will arrive to work at 7am, load up your jiffy van and drive your route to deliver a range of food and beverages. This role requires a driving licence to be held a minimum of 2 years with the candidate over the age of 21 for insurance purposes. Training will be provided and help is on hand throughout your shift. Daily targets are set with regular meetings with team members to look at growth and increasing efficiency. A driving examination will be issued on taking the role. You will be buddied up with our team on the first week to learn our operations.

Responsibilities

Assisting with food delivery and service to meet quality standards
Serving hot and cold, food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests
Setting up your jiffy van with sufficient stock, including arranging products, utensils, and decorations as required (checklist to be completed)
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the van throughout the day
Supporting the team during events or busy service periods, including replenishing supplies
Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Assisting with stock control and inventory management for catering supplies
Providing excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Experience in serving or barista work is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
A proactive attitude towards teamwork and customer satisfaction
Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekends or special events if required
Personal qualities such as reliability, professionalism, and a positive approach to work
