About our company

Camira are a multi-award-winning textile manufacturer with two centuries of heritage and a forward-thinking approach to innovation and sustainability, Camira designs and manufactures environmental fabrics for the commercial, public transport and residential sectors.

Purpose of the role

We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our production team as Machine Operatives, playing a key role in keeping our operations running efficiently and safely. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with modern equipment, develop valuable technical skills, and be part of a team that takes pride in delivering high-quality products.

The day to day

To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
Produce products to the agreed specification by following processes
Quality checking to ensure a quality product is knitted and delivered to the customer
Maintain Stoll machines to in accordance with standard working practices to ensure smooth running operation and efficiency of the machine
Ensure a smooth shift handover by attending daily meetings
Change over machines to ensure smooth running of the manufacturing process

Shift Pattern

This position requires working a 3- week rotational shift pattern

Week 1: Monday to Friday: 06:00 – 14:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday: 14:00 – 22:00
Week 3: Sunday to Thursday: 22:00 – 06:00
