Full job description

Overview

We are looking for a new team member at the Bobbersmill Cafe in Nottingham.

The cafe is a busy and wholesome environment with customers from many walks of life, the successful candidate will need to be confident and considerate with all manner of people.

The cafe is open 6:30am - 2pm weekdays and until 12pm Saturdays

Tuesdays - Fridays 9:30am - 2:15pm

Saturdays - 9:30am - 1pm

We need a part time role to help with both Fridays and Saturdays which are our busiest.

The role is part time and at this time temporary to help cover for a team member who is having some health issues, the role could become permement.

Responsibilities

General kitchen duties and food preparation
Creating and serving orders
Cleaning as you go + deep cleaning at quieter periods.
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
Daily cleaning and closing down duties in the restaurant and prep-kitchen areas.
Assist with food preparation and ensure all dishes meet quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of of the dining areas, staff areas and bathrooms.
Uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Provide exceptional guest services, addressing any special requests or concerns promptly.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on guest services and customer satisfaction
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Kitchen experience or culinary background mandatory.
Flexibility to cover for staff holidays and support other areas of the business.
Every Saturday 9am - 1pm is an absolute requirement

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
