Senior Technical Consultant | Nottingham | Full-Time | Senior

We're looking for an experienced Senior Technical Consultant to join our growing team in Nottingham.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, working closely with clients, and turning business requirements into practical technology solutions. You'll work across technical projects, providing expert guidance, supporting implementation, and helping clients make informed technology decisions.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you'll:

Lead technical discovery sessions to understand client requirements, challenges, and business objectives.
Design and recommend scalable, secure, and practical technology solutions.
Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and implementation plans.
Work closely with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide technical guidance during solution design, development, testing, and implementation.
Evaluate existing systems and recommend opportunities for modernization and improvement.
Support cloud, infrastructure, software, data, or enterprise technology projects as required.
Identify technical risks, dependencies, and potential delivery issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, project specifications, and recommendations.
Collaborate with software engineers, architects, project managers, and other technical specialists.
Support technical testing, troubleshooting, system integration, and deployment activities.
Present technical recommendations and project updates clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge-sharing and professional development.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

Experienced in delivering technology solutions within a consulting, enterprise, or client-facing environment.
Confident communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and technical decision-making.
Organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Comfortable working independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
Commercially aware and able to understand how technology decisions affect business outcomes.
Proactive, adaptable, and confident taking ownership of technical challenges.
Interested in mentoring others and contributing to a strong technical culture.
Passionate about technology and committed to continuous professional development.

Previous experience in technical consulting, solution architecture, software engineering, cloud engineering, infrastructure, systems integration, or a related technology discipline is essential.
