Location: Nottingham – restaurant-based and field-based
Salary: £28,000 basic salary plus uncapped commission
Realistic OTE: £48,000–£65,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Part-Time Option: Tuesday to Thursday may be considered for an exceptional candidate
Nōshi Nottingham is looking for a confident, commercially driven and highly proactive Business Development & Partnerships Manager to help grow and generate our corporate, private dining and events business. whilst building wider brand awareness within our target market.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being a brand ambassador, building relationships, creating commercial opportunities and turning conversations into confirmed bookings and events.
You will be responsible for taking the Nōshi brand out into the local market and developing relationships with businesses, hotels, concierges, event organisers, office managers, PAs and professional organisations across Nottingham and the East Midlands.

Role Description
The Business Development & Partnerships Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing strategic partnerships that increase brand awareness, generate bookings and drive revenue growth.
The role will combine regular attendance at Nōshi with significant field-based activity across Nottingham and the East Midlands.
You will spend much of your working week prospecting, meeting potential partners, visiting local businesses and hotels, attending networking events and representing Nōshi externally.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Prospecting and securing new corporate, hospitality and commercial partners.
- Managing relationships with existing partners.
- Negotiating mutually beneficial commercial and collaboration agreements.
- Generating bookings for the restaurant, Private Dining Room and events.
- Coordinating joint marketing activities, partnerships and events.
- Developing offers, packages and experiences that align with the Nōshi brand.
- Managing and maintaining the marketing and events calendar.
- Analysing market trends and identifying new commercial opportunities.
- Tracking performance and reporting on bookings, revenue, partnerships and campaigns.
- Representing Nōshi at industry events, networking functions and community initiatives.
- Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, General Manager, Guest Experience and Reservations Team and marketing team.
The Role
Your main responsibility will be to generate additional bookings and revenue for Nōshi, with a particular focus on:
- Events management.
- Private Dining Room bookings.
- Corporate lunches and dinners.
- Business entertaining.
- Private events and celebrations.
- Christmas parties and seasonal events.
- Large-group bookings.
- Venue hire.
- Hotel and concierge referrals.
- Local business partnerships.
- Hospitality and professional networks.
You will also work closely with the marketing, reservations and management teams to develop new campaigns, sales initiatives and partnership opportunities, including managing the marketing and events calendar.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively contact and visit local businesses, hotels and potential partners.
- Build relationships with business owners, office managers, PAs, concierges, event organisers and corporate decision-makers.
- Generate new Private Dining Room, corporate and event bookings.
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships with local businesses, hotels, hospitality networks and professional organisations.
- Attend networking events and represent Nōshi professionally within the local business community.
- Arrange and conduct meetings, venue tours and client presentations.
- Prepare and follow up commercial proposals.
- Negotiate commercially appropriate deals and convert opportunities into confirmed and paid bookings.
- Manage relationships with existing commercial, corporate and referral partners.
- Develop repeat corporate accounts and long-term partnerships.
- Coordinate joint marketing activity, partner activations and events.
- Work with the marketing team to increase direct website enquiries and bookings.
- Help develop offers, packages and experiences that support revenue growth while protecting the Nōshi brand.
- Manage and maintain the marketing and events calendar.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity and local commercial opportunities.
- Track and report on the performance of partnerships, campaigns, events and sales activity.
- Maintain an accurate diary, CRM, sales pipeline and weekly commercial report.
- Report to Nōshi each working day while managing a busy external appointment schedule.
- Ensure confirmed bookings are handed over accurately to the reservations and operational teams.
- Use systems effectively to manage enquiries, contacts, bookings, follow-ups and commercial opportunities.
- Develop new ideas and initiatives to increase bookings, revenue and brand awareness.
- Represent Nōshi at relevant industry events, networking functions and community initiatives.
- Support occasional evening and weekend events, networking activity and partner activations where required.

Experience and Qualifications
Previous sales experience is desirable, particularly within:
- Business development.
- Hospitality sales.
- Events.
- Venue sales.
- Corporate partnerships.
- Account management.
- Local marketing or brand promotion.
- Restaurant, bar, leisure or nightlife environments.
The successful candidate should ideally demonstrate:
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proven negotiation and commercial deal-making ability.
- Experience managing partnerships or commercial accounts.
- Experience coordinating events, partner activations or joint marketing activity.
- The ability to develop mutually beneficial commercial collaborations.
- A data-driven approach to analysing performance and adjusting strategy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple initiatives, contacts and deadlines.
- Confidence presenting, networking and representing a brand externally.
- A good understanding of CRM, event-management or reservation systems.
A good understanding of systems such as SevenRooms, CRM platforms, event-management systems or similar sales and booking software would be highly advantageous.
Existing relationships within Nottingham and the East Midlands business, hospitality, hotel or events community would also be a strong advantage.
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related field would be beneficial, although equivalent practical experience will be considered equally.
Salary and Commission
The role offers:
- £28,000 basic salary.
- Uncapped commission.
- Realistic OTE of £48,000–£65,000.
- Two-stage commission payments, including an initial payment when qualifying future bookings are secured.
- Initial three-month development bonuses.
- Quarterly commercial-performance bonuses.
- Commercial incentive and deal-making authority within agreed limits.
- Genuine opportunity to develop into a wider commercial leadership role.
Commission is paid on eligible new business personally generated by the postholder.
Working Style
This is an outward-facing role.
You will spend much of your week meeting businesses, visiting potential partners, attending appointments and developing opportunities across Nottingham and the East Midlands.
You will also report to Nōshi each working day and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, General Manager, Guest Experience and Reservations Team and marketing team.
The role requires strong diary management, clear reporting and the ability to demonstrate how your time is being used to develop new business.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working with a high level of independence while remaining fully accountable for their activity, follow-ups, pipeline and results.
Although the standard working pattern is Monday to Friday, occasional evening or weekend attendance will be required for events, networking functions and partner activations.
Pay: £28,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
