Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to operate our Bullmer and Pathfinder textile cutting machines.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting production targets, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement across the department.
Previous experience operating automated textile cutting machinery would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Use computer-based systems to support production processes and maintain accurate records.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, depending on operational requirements.
Interpret weekly production plans with your team leader and complete cutting requirements in line with output targets while taking ownership of work and identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Communicate effectively with managers, team leaders, and colleagues to resolve issues and ensure production requirements are met.
Select the correct fabrics for each job in accordance with production specifications.
Set up and operate cutting machines to process fabric accurately against production requirements.
Inspect cut components for accuracy and quality, ensuring all work meets required standards.
Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies within the cutting process in a timely manner.
Carry out routine daily and weekly maintenance checks as instructed and report any significant issues to the department team leader.
Complete the daily production plan at the end of each shift to record work completed.
Provide any required production data and updates to the team leader accurately and on time.
Follow all health and safety procedures while operating machinery and carrying out production tasks.
